There are many reasons to love summer, and yet, we keep coming back to the same one: jam.

Just whisper it -- jam -- and try not to become wrapped up in an endless day dream that's ripe with seasonal berries and stone fruits so juicy that they'll drench any accessible sleeves. It's impossible, fresh summer jam is Just. So. Good. Are you making your own batch at home? If you're not, you should be! The process is incredibly simple (really, this is a fuss-free recipe) and can be used with almost any of your favorite fruits. In today's video, Sarah demonstrates her easy method for preparing and canning raspberry jam. Want to spoon? First, pick up these ingredients:

  • 3 pounds fresh berries
  • 4 1/12 cups sugar
  • 4 1/2 teaspoons lemon juice (from 1/2 of a lemon)
  • Pinch of coarse salt
