Today's Recipe: Baked Ravioli

You can't go wrong when you combine fragrant tomato sauce, melted cheese, and plump pillows of ravioli. Fortunately, today's recipe calls for just those ingredients. This baked ravioli is a foolproof way to usher in the fall and the return of textbooks and cooler weather. Serve this meal directly from the oven or make ahead and freeze for an easy weeknight dinner.

Already preheating your oven? Make sure you have these ingredients on hand:

    • 2 tablespoons olive oil
    • 1 medium onion, chopped
    • 3 cloves garlic, minced
    • Coarse salt and freshly ground pepper
    • 1 1/2 teaspoons dried thyme, or oregano
    • 1 can (28 ounces) whole tomatoes
    • 1 can (28 ounces) crushed tomatoes
    • 2 pounds store-bought frozen ravioli
    • 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella
    • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
