Cocktail O'Clock: Gin Lemonade Punch

That morning sweat on your brow can only mean one thing -- it's time for summer! Break out the white pants and sunscreen before kicking back by the beach (or by your fire escape if you're like us here in NYC). While you're at it, why not mix up a batch (or two) of this Gin Lemonade Punch. It's incredibly refreshing and not a tad too sweet. Cheers!

In a medium saucepan bring 2 cups sugar and 2 cups water to a boil over high heat, stirring until sugar is melted. Remove from heat and let cool to room temperature. Add to a large ice-filled pitcher along with the juice of 12 lemons and 16 limes (about 4 cups juice). Stir in 2 cups gin, and thinly sliced lemon and limes. Makes 8 cups.
