Cocktail o'Clock: Sam's Spritz

Today's cocktail is inspired by one of our food editors, Sam Seneviratne (you may recognize her from Kitchen Cam), who loves the combo of pear and ginger.

To a cocktail shaker filled with ice, add 1 1/2 ounces vodka, 3/4 ounce ginger liqueur, 2 ounces pear juice, and 1 teaspoon lemon juice.   Shake well and strain into a glass filled with crushed ice. top off with sparkling water. Makes 1 drink.

    Has anyone tried Strawberry Rhubarb applesauce? I'm having a difficult time finding many recipes out there. I have been searching for hours and have only came up with 2. We would like to slow cook it in the crockpot and then freeze it. Any suggestions would be great.
