Cremini mushrooms + heavy cream make it more like a go-to rather than a standby! A little bit of red wine vinegar might go nicely here, too, - just to give the sauce a little more distinction.

I tried and like it, but in my recipe i use garlic instead of shallot and a bit italian Seasoned Breadcrumbs.
