I'm always a little taken aback when the strawberries show up at the farmers' market. Somehow it seems too early—but I'm not complaining! These vibrant specimens were grown in southern Pennsylvania, so I'm looking forward to a couple more waves over the next few weeks. Here are some top recipe selects that will help you make the most of the moment.Look for fragrant, bright red and plump berries with no soft spots. If not using right away, lay the berries flat on a paper-towel-lined plate and refrigerate for up to 2 days. Don't rinse or hull until ready to use.
