Grab your sombrero, poncho, and Mexican flag; it’s Cinco de Mayo. And what better way to celebrate than with some easy-to-make delicious Mexican food and drinks? Follow the jump for some great festive recipes.

Commemorative of Mexico’s victory over France in the Battle of Puebla, Cinco de Mayo is celebrated by Latinos and Americans alike, providing the perfect excuse to whip up some guacamole and margaritas mid-week. Or better yet, experiment with an entire meal. With our spicy chicken empanadas, grilled corn with chili powder and lime, tilapia ceviche, and churros with chocolate dipping sauce, you’re sure to have a festive Thursday.

    A lot of people in the United States think, that in May 5th, we (mexicans) conmemorate our independence, when in reality, we just remember our victory over France in the Battle of Puebla. I thank you and congratulate you, because you got the facts right.
