I've recently REALLY gotten into bourbon and had a similar drink to this one at David Burke Kitchen that I really enjoyed. I will definitely have to try this out. I think the ginger beer helps balance out the bourbon which makes it a good drink for bourbon newbies like myself. Thanks for this!

last summer, my boyfriend got it in his head that he NEEDED to make a dark & stormy. we searched all over for that bermudan goslings rum, and finally found it at a well-stocked liquor store. it was worth the search!
never thought to give it a try with bourbon, but now we'll have both ginger beer based drinks in our repetoire!
