Being on a shoot for Everyday Food is a treat. First of all, we have a beautiful, southern-facing studio right down the hall from where we sit with a view of the Hudson river. Plus there's great people to work with and pretty food to photograph. But, I won't lie, my favorite part is breakfast. Our food editors and their shoot assistant always put out a generous spread. Here's what I had the other day: whole-grain toast with a spreadable goat cheese, avocado smoked salmon, and some freshly ground pepper. Usually breakfast is hot cereal at home—which is why I always look forward to shoot days!
