I made this pie on request for Super Bowl Sunday—my dad loves a coconut custard pie. The recipe, originally published in November 2009, calls for chocolate wafer cookies, but my market didn't have them. I was about to substitute with a regular graham cracker when I spied these chocolate grahams. Score!
Have you seen these or tried these yet? They're just like a regular graham cracker, but with a really deep chocolate flavor. Delicious; a little salty. In the end, I made the press-in crust from November 2010 and then proceeded with the recipe as it was written. Crowd pleaser.

It's a shame that you did not merely substitute the chocolate graham crackers (12) for the chocolate wafers (30) and continue with the rest of the pie crust recipe from the Coconut Cream Pie recipe - rather than switching to the Easy Press-in Pie Crust recipe ... where you would have used sugar rather than the sweetened shredded coconut called for ... making the Coconut Cream Pie coconut-ier!
