I made this pie on request for Super Bowl Sunday—my dad loves a coconut custard pie. The recipe, originally published in November 2009, calls for chocolate wafer cookies, but my market didn't have them. I was about to substitute with a regular graham cracker when I spied these chocolate grahams. Score!
Have you seen these or tried these yet? They're just like a regular graham cracker, but with a really deep chocolate flavor. Delicious; a little salty. In the end, I made the press-in crust from November 2010 and then proceeded with the recipe as it was written. Crowd pleaser.
