I recently attended a friend's wedding in Big Sur California, where the dramatic changes in weather can really throw a wrench in your outfit planning. Big Sur is kind of like the Grand Canyon--you can tell someone how amazing it is but you don't really get it until you're right there experiencing it. The same goes for this blueberry scone from the Big Sur Bakery.
I could tell you how good it was but you really have to try it yourself. Look how moist! And chock full o' blueberries. They also make an incredible pecan streusel muffin, ham and cheese and chocolate croissants (and yes, we had all that in one sitting). I'll be trying to make the scones myself—I just got their cookbook—but it's never quite the same as when you're there.

I am campground hosting at Pfeiffer Big Sur State Park and was just at the Big Sur Bakery this morning. The ham and cheese quiche was about the best I have ever had. And I loved taking some photos after having breakfast. I recommend the Big Sur Bakery highly to anyone visiting the area.
