My sister made Heather's Easy Red-Pepper Dip from our May issue for a recent weekend barbecue. She brought pita to go with it, but we soon found it went great with the grilled vegetables and steak we were serving. Everyone loved the tart flavor the reduced pomegranate juice gave it. It is an easy substitute for pomegranate molasses, the traditional ingredient in the Mediterranean dip muhammara, which was Heather's inspiration for the recipe. The dip held up great outdoors. There was also chimichurri for the steak. The two dips made for a colorful grilling spread.

What a great idea to serve it with steak. I will have to try that this week. I usually rub my steak with various spices and then slice the finished product like your photo above and serve it with A1, but this dip would probably complement the spice rub really well.
