During my brief stint as a vegetarian when I was a teen, I survived on peanut butter and never got tired of stick-to-your-mouth sandwiches, probably because of the endless flavor possibilities (PB and honey, PB and pear, and PB and potato chips were my personal favorite combos). So when I saw a segment on The Travel Channel about Peanut Butter & Co's sandwich shop in Greenwich Village, I knew I had to check it out ASAP: The tiny shop serves only peanut butter sandwiches, quite possibly the best idea since, well, the sliced bread they serve them on...
My equally nostalgic boyfriend and I split orders of The Elvis (peanut butter, bananas, honey and bacon, warmed on the grill) and the Cinnamon Raisin Swirl (vanilla cream cheese, cinnamon raisin peanut butter and apples). They were both delicious, especially with a big glass of cold milk! Next time I'm thinking of trying their PB&P sandwich (that's peanut butter and pickles), which they swear is great-tasting too. If you can't make it to NYC anytime soon, I'd recommend ordering their Cinnamon Raisin Swirl peanut butter from the Web site - it will dress up any PB and ______ (fill in the blank), and goes great with sliced apples or celery sticks, too.
What's your favorite peanut butter sandwich?

The best sandwich I ever made as a kid - peanut butter, cheddar cheese chunks and potato chips. YUM!

This peanut butter is fantastic- and widely available in grocery stores in the NY metro area. Try the chocolate peanut butter!

PB&J has always been my sandwich of choice. Though now older and more food conscious I opt for Almond Butter or the low sugar JIF.
PB&J on raisin swirl bread is awesome. Make it in a skillet like grilled cheese. Yummy, gooey and downright decadent.
Those thin stick pretzels work fine in a PB&J too.

I love having peanut butter with egg! Especially on an english muffin. It's the perfect mix of sweet and salty...yum!
