We are looking forward to following Made by Mike, who has decided to cook a recipe from every single issue of Everyday Food and blog about his results. First up, the simple but hearty Tomato and Olive Penne from issue number one! Visit his blog to track his efforts and vote for which recipe he should cook next.
Do you have every copy of Everyday Food in your library? What are your favorite recipes from past or current issues?

I have almost every single one from the beginning. They are getting very worn around the edges, pages are falling out and stains galore. They are well used and well loved. Just the last couple of years I pick and choose which to purchase as I figure I have a good collection and as small as they are they do take space which could be used for cooking utensils.

The cook on Made by Mike would just happen to be my son. Both he and his sister, were two of the pickiest eaters as youngsters. He has certainly come a long way in his culinary skills and tastes. I am truly proud of him.

uh, yea I *do have every issue. LOL~! LOVE it! One of our very favorite food magazines. I have teenaged girls who read it as other girls would read "Seventeen" magazine. We love to find recipes they want to cook or that they want me to cook.
There are several recipes we keep returning to -- big favorite was the Baked Penne with Chicken & Sun-Dried Tomatoes. You were instructed to halve it and freeze part for another meal. However, I have a large family and we always have moochers, so I cook it in my large roasting pan. There are rarely leftovers. It's FANTASTIC!! Tastes like something you'd order at Macaroni Grill.
Another big favorite is the Roasted Chicken Tacos. Such a simple recipe, but sooooo tasty. I'll roast two chickens -- one for this recipe and save one chicken for another day.

I have every issue after issue #4, and exclaim with glee every time a new one enters my mailbox. I love-love-love them, and even my kids love the recipes I choose.
