Beer and pretzels you say?
In the truffle? Yes, in the truffle. And brittle, too.
These chocolates were sent to me about a week ago and at first I raised an eyebrow. I was intrigued, but not convinced.
I must say, they are pretty good. Both the truffles and the brittle are made with a chocolate stout beer, which you just get a hint of in the finished product. Then they are covered in crushed, salty pretzels. This is the part that made me declare, "Sold!" out loud. The general rule is: Toffee (or caramel) + chocolate + salt = all around delicious yummy business.
I think that these are kind of cute as a Valentine's Day gift for a husband or boyfriend since they have that manly Beer & Pretzel theme. Order them here from the maker, truffletruffle.
