Dips are my favorite go-to appetizer when I throw a holiday party. They're easy to put together and make-ahead, almost everyone loves them, and it's somehow so festive to watch everyone share and enjoy one big dish together. Sure, onion-soup-mix dip is a guilty pleasure, but I like to make something homemade to really share something special.
Cheesy, warm dips like Hot Spinach Dip above and Artichoke Dip are also at the top of my list, but I also like creamy cold dips like Salmon Mousse and Sweet Onion Dip below (way better than the soup mix stuff!). Either way, they're just the thing with a glass of wine or even champagne! For dipping, I like to set out great crackers, pretzels, and cut-up raw vegetables like carrots and celery alongside.
